Pregnant again?

Can chameleons get pregnant twice a year without mating? Cammy, my female 1 year old veiled, has been sitting on the ground lately and burying herself under leaves. She also did this in January when she layed 72 eggs! Please help I don't want her to be sick!

I feed her 12-36crickets a week dusted and temperatures between 69-84 F

Yes, they can lay infertile eggs multiple times per year. That is why females should have a laying bin in their cage at all times so they can lay their eggs when needed and there's no delay. I never take it out of my girl's cage. You should definitely add one to her cage asap!

Also during her last pregnancy she lost a few nails so it's hard for her to climb. Every time I put her up too again she comes back down

When did she lay them?

Can you post a couple of recent photos of her please? Her posture in the photo you posted in another thread makes me think she may have a calcium issue....and unless she's spending time on the floor of the cage because of the missing claws that worries me too.

What happened with the leg?

You really should keep a suitable container of washed playsand in her cage all the time so she has a place to dig to lay her eggs. Failure to provide a place for her can lead to eggbinding.

You said she lost a few claws last time so she may have trouble digging this time.

Cammy is a female veiled chameleon, she is 10 months old, had her for 9 months, I handle her every other day, I feed her worms and crickets, about 12-24 a week, I dust with reptivite, I use a drip and must system, her feces and white and a little yellow, she has always been on the ground sincethe past 5 days, I think she is pregnant cause she acted like this when she was. Also she lost her nails also during pregnancy! Picture below
