Pre shed or nose problem?

I saw shed looking stuff coming from my chams nose.. Maybe pre shed?

Maybe calcium/supplement build up. Mine gets it on occasion. But someone else will be able to help as well.

I read on a care sheet somewhere that salt or other minerals can come out of your cham's nose if they are getting too much supplementation. what's your dusting schedule like?

I just dust everyday with regular calcium.. He rubbed it off his nose though.

are you dusting the feeders with a lot of calcium? they should look dusted, but not like ghosts

if nothing else, you might want to mist him a little more so he can get hydrated and flush it all out

He gets misted every 4 hours for 60 seconds, Id imagine thats enough..

that does seem like enough, but some chams take a little while before they start to drink though. you might want to do longer misting sessions.

hmm. that's kinda odd then. your cham seems pretty healthy except for this nose thing. I would maybe cut back a little on the amount of dust put on his feeders but otherwise wouldn't worry about it too much unless it comes back since this isn't a very serious health problem.
