My female mitsio has been digging for the passed three days and has not eaten has be gravid colours for a while now sat in her hole as she does to lay for about two three hours and then turned around and burried the hole so i thought she was done took her out gave her a big drink still didnt eat. But pulpated her belly to be sure she laid them all. And in the mean time hy other half took the bin out then i put her back home lol. We dug up every inche of that laying bin no eggs nowhere....????? Im confused she didnt have no eggs in her im so stumped can someone explain what happen?

Keep the laying bin in there. She may just not have laid them yet. If she sees you watching she may abandon the hole as well. If she starts to act off at all, get her to the vet.

Ya I don't peek in on any of my females. Once they start digging I put a sheet over the whole enclosure except the top. Which is 1 foot from the ceiling. And I don't look again ntil light out. I am very cautious about that. So no worries there. Just more wondering if anyone has had a female dig a hole. Sit in it for 2-3 hours and cover the hole completely without laying eggs. I made sure I put the bin back into her enclosure. The house is empty again today so hopefully she lays

Sometimes this can be an indication of eggbinding....digging, acting like the eggs were being laid and then filling in the hole as if the job was done.
