T TrueCut New Member Jan 13, 2011 #1 Hey guys i am in the middle of a DIY cage. I am potting a plant into the cage base what type of dirt should I use. I know there are articles on this just couldn't find any. Also are Dowels acceptable for chams to climb on?

Ethen44 New Member Jan 13, 2011 #5 Great question...The only organic potting soil I could find in my area was organic redwood bark, and I just put 2 inches of moss over the top of that.

Click to expand... Get rid of that stuff and get soil... you need to put smooth river rocks over what you have not moss. Moss wouldn't be good if anything ingested it..
