No, we bought the laundry basket, but he gave us a humidifier, light lamp, calcium, a cricket catcher, and plastic branches. We also bought the ficus. We get paid on Monday, so the UVB is being picked up then, because the only ones we saw were fifty bucks at the pet store. Today we have her under a basking bulb, the top just makes it awkward right now. We made a dripper, and mist the cage regularly.
We are keeping her. We're going to build her a cage, which AJ (boyfriend) has been pretty excited about today. Right after we brought her home he liked her as much as I do, which is awesome. XD I know we flip flopped pretty quick, but we decided it would be okay to keep her. After our friend gave us all those extra supplies, it really helped, because a ficus in a laundry basket looked pretty pathetic, but the other plants and having some supplies helped and gave us some morale. XD As for the friend, he now only has the bearded dragon, and plans to keep it that way, so I'm not too worried about him doing this again. He's been holding her and is changing her cage to the right setting, and even named her. Julie, haha. I know he wasn't responsible and acted like an idiot, but I'm not going to report him or anything like that. He saw what happens, and I don't think he's doing it again.
She looks really nice in the pictures, which was why I wish I would have taken before and after pics, haha. On the way home I could count her ribs and her belly was indented, she was falling asleep. XP After we gave her water, she filled out and perked up a bit. Kinda crazy! Oh, and I'll definitely watch the tail and make sure it's not getting worse or anything. This morning she ate two crickets when sitting on AJ's arm, and hopefully she'll eat the rest today. We want her to eat as much as she will take right now.
For hedgehogs you can use neosporin on them as long as it doesn't have pain relief in it, is it true for chameleons, too?
So her cage is warm, she has the light, but her body is really cold when I touch her. Is that normal? She was warm to the touch at my friend's house.
She's moving around a ton though, which is good but scares me a little. Earlier she was on one of the bottom leaves of the ficus and couldn't grab anything, so she plopped to the bottom of the cage and started her way back up. It was only a half foot drop, but I was still like O_O I think when we do her cage we're going to get a different type of plant, she has had the hardest time with that thing. XP
