I just saw your post about the little cutie with the URI. I am certainly glad to hear that she is going better.
But I am surprised that you didn't know how effective Reptaid is on a URI. Since we have been using Reptaid, we have not given one chameleon any Batryil or any other standard antibiotic for a URI. It has been about a year now and you can surely believe that we have had a few URI's in the last year.
And Reptaid knocks out a URI in 3-5 days. No more. So at the first sign of any change in breathing at all, Sandy gives the chameleon Reptaid. I certainly would never tell anyone not to go to the vet, but I will testify about how incredibly effective and reliable Reptaid is on any reptile for an infection like this. IF you own any reptiles at all, you need Reptaid in the fridge, ready for those unexpected ailments.
Reptaid is starting to be sold in stores now on the west coast. Not all stores but maybe in time...
