Possible health issue!

I have a 1-2 month old female ambilobe panther chameleon. I notice while handling her today that she pops her chin out and opens her mouth slightly (like literally barely opens her mouth, you can only see a tiny crack in between her lips) and in the process makes some sort of clicking noise. Is this a respiratory infection? Or simply her jaw clicking? I'm worried, please help! My fiancé said he didn't notice it at all, so I don't know if I'm being paranoid but it just doesn't seem right.

can you see any excess saliva in here mouth? Does she tilt her head up and hold her mouth open? Popping out her chin is more than likely showing her she does not like what you are doing or is upset. This does not usually make any type of noise though. Does she ever just hold her mouth open like she cannot breathe unless she does?

No excess saliva, and no gaping. I am going to keep a super close eye on her for the next few days to see if I notice it again or see her get worse. As I am a full time student and work part time I'm not home as often as I'd like to be to watch her in a time like this, but my fiancé and I will take turns!

Is it one click or is it *click*click*click?

I honestly don't know what either would mean, but it seems like they are different things.

My instinct is that it's meant to be intimidating (because tiny clicking lizards are oh, so scary to full size adults).

Oh they are. I am absolutely terrified everytime my big bad 9 month old male veiled Kink 'clicks' and squeaks at me. Sends chills down my spine. ;)
