I am so sorry for your loss. How painful.
I am from Reading Pennsylvania, Mt. Penn, actually, originally. Now we're out west, but if I had Jacksons I would send you one. You certainly have learned a lot in the last week or so. It' so sad when pet stores give bad husbandry advice. You did what you thought was best for him.
Picture Rocks looks like a beautiful place to live. I just found this interesting info on the net:
"The peculiar name - Picture Rocks - was given to the place by the early settlers, who found rude Indian pictures painted on the rocks. They have long since disappeared. These hieroglyphics attracted much attention at first and were long regarded as an object of curiosity by the whites. What they indicated no one could tell. Tradition informs us that the flat on which the town is built was once a favorite camping place for bands of Monsie Indians, and as many arrow points and other relies of the departed race were found there, such was probably the fact. "
Don't give up. I know you had a lot of heart and a considerable amount of money wrapped up in Frisbee. But, perhaps sometime in the future you could try again. Too bad you can't get some sort of refund or credit from the pet store that gave you the bad husbandry advice. They really should be accountable for that.
There are reptile shows and exibits in Pennsylvania through out the year. Quite a few of them include chameleon breeders and dealers. Perhaps you could check out one of these shows and purchase a quality animal from an expert.
