hello
vincent (male veiled) is outgrowing his baby/juvenile cage and i will most likely be diy-ing his next one. i plan to build a wood-framed screen/plexiglas hybrid cage cause the winters can get kinda dry here. be warned. i have zero experience. this will be my first time building anything, but i am moving very soon and i met our really nice neighbors and one of them loves building stuff
.
1) i know that the standard minimum cage size for an adult male veiled is 2x2x4 feet, but is it ok if i build the cage so that it is not very deep but is very wide? for example: 1.5x3x4 or 1.5x4x4 feet
2) what type of wood is the best for a chameleon cage? (durability, price, easiest to work with)
3) what kind of sealant should i use?
4) what kind of screen should i use?
if you find any links to helpful videos or articles please send them through the comments. thank you!
