what are the chances of 1 year old veiled chameleon that has never shown receptive interest.

could stressed be a contributing factor?

thank you

perhaps guys here would like to share the longest time your cham ever took to show receptive colours.

:)

Lots of things come into play for a female to become receptive. Temperature, light cycle, and food intake all play a role. Its been a long time since I kept veilds but 1 year doesn't sound like a problem. If you are keeping her properly and she is healthy I wouldn't worry about it.

It isn't such a bad thing that she isn't breeding. The market is really flooded with veilds so if it were me I'd pass on breeding her even if she was receptive.

CarlC nailed it. a lower temp and food intake can play a MAJOR role in reception. a year before breeding is totally nothing to worry about. in fact, you should wait until a female is at least 12-14 months old before considering to breed her. as far as babies go, i don't think i will be able to literally give away my veil or blue bars. the market is just flooded.
