Poop isnt normal?

Hey everyone. Well Leo has been eating and drinking normally, but for about two weeks now his poop has been coming out in two pretty small pieces. One piece has the urates which look a little creamy and some poo, then another small piece of only poop. It also smells really bad. He hasnt been tested for parasites, any ideas what might be wrong?

Does he do the two pieces of poop separately, or is it likely that it falls through the cage and lands in a different place tot he rest? Sometimes poop hits a branch or something on the way down and will break up.

I would definitely advise taking a sample of poop to the vet for testing. The vet will be able to see what type of parasites he has (if any) and treat him accordingly. If he has parasites it will be necessary to bleach clean and disinfect the cage. I used a 10% bleach solution to wash everything when my geckos had worms. You must rinse everything off really well after though.

Yeah he poops the two pieces separately. also my sister saw something yellow fall through before the poop, its like a little gel sac with some little yellow thing in it, that came out before the urates and the poop?

Could be a bit of urate or a sperm deposit although I think the latter is usually wiped on the branch or vine after pooping. Not witnessed it that often though, so I may be wrong. I suppose if the cham was big enough (mine is still small) then sperm deposits may fall away first. Do you have pics of the offending articles? It may help us to see what you are seeing.

Hes five months old, can they even have sperm? I wasnt home, but my sister was and her iphone took a pretty bad picture, but ill post it

I'm not sure having never had a Panther myself. I think it may be possible, especially if he is big for his age. My Monty is small still, but he's been leaving deposits on his branches for a while now. He's a Jacksons though and they develop slower than a Panther.

Pardon the water, we just misted his cage

Which bit of it are you concerned about? I don't see the 'sac' that you mentioned earlier. The poop looks ok to me, with a nice white urate. He won't poop a huge amount at 5 months since he probably still eats and poops daily. Since you have concerned with the smell though, I would take the poop to the vet for testing just to be on the safe side.

Its the thing right before the urate its got a little yellow in it, i usually never see that, also i think i will have a fecal sample done.

How much do they usually cost?

That is just a little bit of discoloured urate. When did he last poop before this one? The longer the urate stays in the body, the more water is absorbed and that gives it an orange/yellow tinge. I live in the UK so I can't help with fecal prices I'm afraid. I'm sure someone else can help you with that though.

He poops at about the same time everyday, i bought him some hornworms and i will see if that helps because when he was eating them his poop was normal about two weeks ago. Any update on the price of a fecal test?
