Hello I have a Nosy Be Panther. I noticed poop at the bottom of the cage.

My 2 concerns are:

1. The gel-like sac the poop is wrap in
2. the yellow color of the second part of the poop.

Can anyone identify what this is and if I should be concerned. My Nosy Be is very active, no signs of any sickness. I just want to just sure of this. thanks.

The gel part is normal. It gets even more jelly when they eat a lot of soft worms like silks or horn worms. The yellow part is most likely due to some dehydration. You may want to increase your misting to alleviate that.

Thank you much. That makes perfect sense now. I had to stop my misting system for about 3 days for maintenance, I was only able to manually mist occasionally. The mist system is back up and running. Thanks for the feedback.
