Stinky poop!

Matcha pooped today, her second day home. It was brown, with a white and then yellow end. It was slightly slimy outside, and she had a small drop of liquid on her booty. The main thing i noticed is that it was VERY stinky, like.. stunk the room up! I did feed her super worms the day before.. but is there anything else i should look out for? Could it have just been an upset stomach from the worms? No photo because she literally pooped in my lap while i was feeding her. 💀

Same advice as @kinyonga and @jamest0o0.... This is a strong indication of parasite load. You need to get a fresh fecal tested. Plastic baggy the fecal portion only not the urate and find a reptile vet that will run the test without seeing her first. If it comes back positive that is when you have to take her into the vet as they would need to weigh her to do the right dosage. Note not all parasites are treated and cleaned for in the same way. So if the test comes back positive you need to know what parasite it is.

It’s definitely important to know what the parasite is so it can be treated properly to get rid of it!
Some you can’t get rid of easily and there are even one or two kinds you don’t need to get rid of.

One chameleon I had expelled a worm that I took into the vets and the guy there who was studying the parasites asked me if I would leave it untreated because they needed a male of the species to identify it properly and it wouldn’t hurt her to leave it there. I fed her “sticky” type feeders and I got her to expel another worm…too bad it was also female. She lived a normal lifespan and when she died I took her body to them for a necropsy and the parisitologist phoned me all excited…there was a male there when he did the necropsy…and they identified it.
