Poo in nesting area.

Ok, I know poo has probably been covered far too much but I haven't found this one yet. My veiled female is I'm guessing 6 months old at the most. I have a container filled with moist sand for whenever she is ready to lay eggs which I don't think is real soon. My question is she seems to like to poo right above the sand. I scoop out her waste every morning but will this keep her from wanting to lay eggs there? As of one she has not been bred and probably won't be, I just want to make sure when the time comes she feels comfortable with her nesting area.

Some of the chams usually like to dump their waste in the same spot over n over again,so its normal.usually you can see her start roaming up n down in ur cage non stop n slowing down her eating habits when she about to lay, then she will start digging in that moisture sand container u have in her cage, during this digging time, she will prefer not to be disturb at all,u can always cover the cage with a towel just to keep her feeling stress from all the motion goes around with her in that 10 to 12 inches deep sand laying container, hope this will help u a bit.

I already have a cloth with Velcro fasteners rigged up to give her privacy....I just wondered if she would lay eggs in sand she uses for a toilet.

As long she is ready to lay n ur sand is not too wet or dry perfectly u can use ur hand and dig out a tunnel without collapsing that sand ,I will say she will lay those eggs, feed her lots gutloaded feeders during her gravid period n use that calcium supplement wisely, the rest will be up to her when her time is come.

Thank you!

You are more than welcome, when that time comes ,have fun to collect those pearl white Jelly beans:)
Last summer I noticed eggs of anoles (I live in Florida) and carefully moved them into plastic containers with mesh on top. I hatched out 28 baby anoles. They are what got me started being a crazy lizard lady. My husband is very very tolerant!
