Just wanted to share a few pics. I did not take a lot but had a wonderful time.
I did not add to my family since I have enough at the moment.
There were some silly pics too.. Like the low maintenance Giant Veiled.

What is up with that massive bloated veiled? I know it can’t possibly be a real animal, but why would anyone create that? It looks like what would happen if veileds were given open access to the feeder bins.

Stuffed animal- The company was selling custom made enclosures. When I turned the corner, I saw the Veiled and thought - What kind of joke is this? I even asked if it was a "Low maintenance animal? Then he said, " I can make the stand any dimensions.

Truth be told: I did feel a little dumb asking the question, since I didn't know he made stands.

The pics were actually taken because I have not gone to a reptile show in years. So- it has been a topic for family from PA, TX, FL, and AZ to tease me. It doesn't bother me, so I shoot back with pictures.
I feel guilty for not taking more to share. Kinda feel like going again today, since I am safe not getting any new pets. Almost was tempted with the baby chams ad tree frog morps.
Next year will take way more for this family.

Neat. Trioceros montium has not been exported from Cameroon for a while now. I was surprised to have a look at that picture listed as one at this Pamona Show.

Dean Missimer or Sauce Gandhi had a table and was selling grasshoppers at the show as well?

Tioceros montium has not had a CITES quota since 2009. However they have been exported from Cameroon after the quota was stopped. I think the species, with the small clutches and normally only laying once a year (my recollection), that the females lay have not got the high fecundity that other Quota species have got such as Furcifer pardalis, Furcifer oustaleti and Chamaeleo dilepis etc.. and have problems with over collecting and habitat loss. Trioceros montium is a great species. I have my digits crossed habitat and populations can be restored. As well that somebody in Cameroon that somebody can ranch or farm the species and they can become available again. Progress is being made with regard to forest restoration in Africa.

The picture of the grasshoppers were Eastern Lubber Grasshoppers. The people were in their 30's or so but very knowledgeable, and even had license for consumption with the other grasshoppers being sold. The Lubber were for pets and the smaller grasshoppers (all green) were not pictured. My understanding the Lubber's are poisonous and the vender said, it affects some animal but not all. I just thought it was cool.

The Montium was purchased as a pair from a guy in lake Elsinore, ca who was downsizing. I am thinking around 2006 or 7. I didn't keep records or take many pictures since they seemed available at some of the Reptile places. The female laid eggs and the babies were given to a Local Pet shop to sell. Very chill species as you know. I did meet a guy who was part of the CIN but left when it changed. He was describing chameleons that I could not even figure out. He mentioned a Panther or dwarf panther from an Island North of Madagascar. He wrote an article about it in the CIN pamplets (I never kept them so have no idea). His name was Bruce and would visit CIN members in San Diego. I love history of the advancements of the hobby. My highlight of the show was talking to him. Bruce was in his mid to late 60's. Just little things I remember him saying.
That being said, I just am familiar with what has been in the pet trade. Very little!

The locust and exotic insects are neat.

As agriculture pest to sell locust and grasshopper species you have to have Agriculture permits. I have got more than a couple agriculture permits for some of my insect colonies.

There is two species of Dwarf Panther chameleon Furcfer cephalolepis and Furcifer polleni. Both species are from the Comoros Islands. Furcifer cephalolepis was exported in limited amounts for a while from the top of my head 1998-2000 then exports were closed. Neither species has been available to the hobby since. Mini Furcifer pardalis. Neat!
