Today has been 1 week that I have had my male veiled (4-6 month old)& I noticed earlier around 7pm that on the right nostril he had something coming out..well it looks like its coming out? Well we went to get crickets & when we came back now both nostrils have it...I am so worried about him?!! Does anyone know what it might be? Its white in color I tried to take good pics but the closer I get the blurrier the pic gets:eek:

We just purchased ReptoCal? So the crickets hes eating right now are dusted with that but the week we have had him this is the first time we have dusted the crickets..Does he remove it himself from his nostrils?
That is extra minerals he excretes. What is your suppliment schedule?

1.That's not minerals, it's excess salts. Nothing to worry about at all.

2.Does your reptocal have D3? It should be plain calcium with no D3 most days, with D3 only twice per month.

Not familiar with reptocal, what does it have in it? Does it say calcium with or without d3? The most recommended schedule (depending on brands, some have more than others) is calcium without d3 almost everyday, calcium with d3 twice a month, and multivitamins twice a month.

The bottle says ReptoCal for all reptiles includes Calcium & Vitamin D3............does that sound good enough for him?

It should only be used twice per month. You need calcium without d3 to use daily and a multi vitamin to use twice a month.

Or you could get Repashy Calcium Plus which you use daily with no other supplements.

okay sounds good..I just got worried becuz he had it on just one side & when we came back it was on both:eek:...do i remove it from his nostrils or does he do it?

Yes that is the one..okay thanks for the information!! This site is awesome..my bf & I came home, saw our Cam with that on his nose, and instantly said to eachother "GET ON THE CHAM FORUM!!"...

Haha the first time I saw it I thought it was chameleon snot, but looked it up anyway. That's good you have a supportive boyfriend. Some spouses on here want nothing to do with their partner's lizards!
