Hi everyone,
I have a juvenile veiled cham, about months old.
I have a tongue issue for a month now.
She has appetite, but sometimes when she tries to shoot I can see the bone coming but not the tongue. And then everything works properly again. I mean you can never know, once it works, then it doesn't.
I am soooo worried now!
I started a thread about this not long ago. It turned out, I overdosed her with D3 and multi.
So I stopped giving D3 and multi every day for 3 weeks now,but no change.
Lately I figured out she has URI,so I'll take her to the vet on Monday. But there is a big problem, they have never had chameleon before and don't know anything about them. They will do some research till Monday...So I am worried pretty much...
She would have appetite, but the tongue doesn't work. And lately she seems she is tired of trying.
Is it possible that URI cause this tongue problem?
She should have shed already, but it is late too.
I am just hoping they will give her good antibiotics and she can hold on until Monday!
:(

Fill out the how to ask for help sticky under the health clinic forum so we can accurately help you. I think you should look into a better vet though due to how sick she is.

Sorry to hear about her tongue problems. I can't be much help with that as I have no experience with tongue injuries.

As for the URI, they will most likely give you Baytril. How do you know she has an URI?

Anybody?
Oh and I asked them if they could do blood test and the vet said they can not do it, never did...

..

Hi there,
I am not sure, anybody is reading this thread. But I took her today to the vet and she gave her Baytril 0,01 ml once a day. I hope it will help!
She was so brave wasn't even scared, just interested in everything!Cutest!

Oh thank you!
That would be wonderful! I am glad yours healed up! But you mean yours sticked out the bone but not the tongue sometimes?
