It sound's like you are going to need a doctors visit after all this drama! It does sound like she is making good progress though. Thanks for the updates!

Glad she's doing better! They sure know how to worry us don't they?! It's good that she is eating and drinking though.

Its friday , and she laid 3 eggs today. she still looks big though .still not interested in digging or moving around much ..When i take the eggs out , ive noticed some of them look whiter than others.im wondering whether to give her some liquid calcium . the vet said it might be a good idea.any advice please

I'm sure it won't hurt to increase her calcium somewhat for a few days...it helps with laying the eggs as well...but I'm still very concerned that she is continuing to drop eggs without making any attempt to dig a hole and lay them.

Boy you're story sounds familiar. A couple years back i had a female panther girl that was gravid. Took her almost a month to lay all 33 eggs, i think it was. And i did soak her daily, but she was so weak and she had stopped eating and drinking. I was force feeding her bug juice. My husband told me she was gone at least 3 times but with everyones help on here, I refused to give up on her, and she actually pulled through. I think she was at the vets 4-5 x as well for injections. SO, keep up the great work!!! I know how stressful it can be!!!

thankyou. i will get some liquid calc. On sat she laid ONE very round egg , it looked half white half opaque. all the eggs have dried a yellowish colour .Does anybody know the best liquid calc to buy ? some have vit D ?

thanks ...no eggs for two days ,I bought stuff called critical care formula , the ingredients are-
maltodextrine
protein concentrate
amino acids
shes still eating and drinking ok

CCF is usually used when they are so sick that they can't eat and drink for themselves. When Lily was poorly I bought some but I didn't get chance to even open the tub.:( Were you not able to find any liquid calcium? I haven't used it although someone else may be able to advise on it's use. I believe it is the UK equivalent of Reptaid - if not it is very similar.

Calcium Glubionate Syrup

I keep a bottle of Calcium Glubionate syrup on hand. You can buy it over the counter at really good pharmacies. It's sold for pregnant women and senior women but works great for female chams too. My vet turned me on to it several years ago when I had an egg bound Panther. It has no D3. The body absorbs what it needs and the rest passes through the kidneys. You can't overdose on it unless you are overdosing the cham on D3. A couple of ml or cc per day given orally works well. It comes in super big bottles but is very cheap to buy. Hope your girl continues to do well....

thankyou thankyou... much appreciated. i will get it.
I went to work feeling down today, there has been no eggs for two days and i couldnt hide my unhappiness ,i teach art in a centre for disabled people , everybody saw my sad eyes ...guess what ....when i got home , there was TWO eggs , one huge , one normal so the rollercoaster ride is still going. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee can i ask . if my wee pal survives this ,will she go the same way next time , i cant help feel now that she may have been egg bound when i got her and this is why she wasnt wanted by the last owner , by the way the other cham taco , is doing brill , she was younger .

:)thankyou ....one more EGG...phew...That makes it 15 so far.i wonder how many more and how long and will she go through this next time , ...not that i mind , now that i know what to expect , i think the cheering is working.when she finishes laying All her eggs i will cheer so LOUD you will be able to hear me from scotland

Sandy it might be time for you to start cooking spaghetti, that way you can have it ready to beat her with a wet noodle - she sure deserves it for all she has put you through.:D
