hello guys. my nosy faly is looking weird the past few days. his throat is puffed more than usual. i know they puff it up if fired up or mad. however i saw him sleep with it slightly puffy last night. and his appetite isnt as good as before. he opens his mouth and exhales more than usual. please help. really concerned. what are your thoughts? picutres below.

There is quite a lot of saliva in the last 3 pictures you posted. I am thinking that you might be dealing with an upper respiratory infection.
I never had to deal with this, but as far as I know this needs quite aggressive treatment as soon as possible, so try and visit a reptile vet as soon as you can.
Also please fill this in, so we can get a better understanding of the conditions your cham is being kept in and give you better answers:

Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?

Handling - once or twice a week
Feeding - 4-6 Crickets, 3 superworms. i feed my feeders vegetabls. he eats randomly now, he used to eat in the morning and early afternoon. had better apetite before.
Supplements - calcium no d3 every day. calcium with d3 twice a month. reptivit twice a month.
Watering - spray method also have a mistking. my mister goes on every 1.5 hours runs for 30 seconds. yes i see my cham drink.
Fecal Description - white tip and brownish poop. seems regular to me. idk if hes been tested.
History - when i got him he used to eat like a beast. would swallow down up to 4 worms in a row. hes been calmer lately.
Cage Info:
Cage Type - reptibreeze large care. screen cage 18x18x36
Lighting - t5 ho reptisun 36" hood covers 2 of my large cage. i used a regular incandescent white light bulb 40w. lights goes on at 9am-8pm
Temperature - 78-88 degreses. lowest at night is 80 degrees
Humidity - 50-70%
Plants - i have a hanging pothos in this middle.
Placement - in my room, in the corner opposite of the window.
Location - los angeles, ca

You have an upper respiratory infection.
First make sure the animal has has a basking area around 85-88F all sick herps need to warm up so their natural immune system can try and kick in.
Second make sure he has proper ventilation. Many people try to keep a high humidity and inadvertently due to low air flow contribute to a respiratory infection.
Keep him hydrated. I use a mix 50/50 gator aid and water once a day in addition to a normal drip also the old shower method helps hydrate them too.
What I just did was help you first stabilize things, this won't help him unless he gets on some meds. I don't like to jump right into Baytril, it's good stuff but can be hard on the animal. I like the sulfa family of meds and usually ask for tri-Metha-sulfa which goes by a few names. Tends to be pink in color. Personally I've seen it go easier on my animals and Baytril is my fallback. Lots of vets just shotgun Baytril however that is between you and your vet since I don't count. Always ask for oral meds where possible, I tend to get my animal to eat and then squirt the meds down with the meal. Good luck

That is good to know. My vet jumped right to Baytril and I didn't know to question it at the time. Just like with Coccidia, it used to Albon and that is exactly what my vet wanted to use. I asked him about going on the Ponzuril after reading the positive results and experiences people had with it. He was happy to prescribe it for me and it did the trick with my chameleon! This is what I like about this forum, how you get different options and ideas.
Indeed I come here to see people's ideas and opinions. I love this community. Never in a millions years I wouldve known there's a community for chams til I got my chams.
Anyway how did ur Cham feel after the infection? Did he heal fast? Any side effects? Did he go back to his normal self?
update on drogo.
so i was finaly able to take Drogo to the vet. the dr said hes not showing any signs of infection, just slight. and to be safe, hes put on Tribussen .05 / day for 5-7 days. i hope this do the trick, before this. he did show improvements for the past 2 days. he was also eating much better than a 4-5 days ago. but i couldnt get it out of my mind. so i took him to be sure.
any say on the medication prescribed guys? Triburssen .05 ml q day for 5-7 days.
