How long have you had that bulb?

How close to the cage is it?

Is there plastic in between it and the cage?

How did the vet go?

The bulb is only about 2 weeks old. The one we had before was exactly the same and we'd had it about a month and it blew so was replaced straight away.

It is a couple of inches away from the top of the viv. It is on a bracket to lift it slightly.

There is no plastic between the lamp and cage, it is just a wire mesh grill.

She stayed over at the vets last night and has had x-rays, a scan and blood taken. We've picked her up today and the vet said that she is very healthy. He said it isn't MBD as her bone density is good. Calcium and everything else is all good too. He did however think that she may have had a fall and broken her arm and it had heeled this way. As far as we are concerned, she has never had a fall but obviously we are not watching her 24/7 as we are at work so I suppose I'll never know. He said she was strong and well. She hasn't got any eggs as yet but he has advised us what to do for when this happens.

Thank you all for all your replies, it is greatly appreciated.

Any other advice or comments are welcome, we are learning all the time.

And you were all right, she is female!
