Hello! I bought a young tamatave male.But when he grew up, this became the color.I think he is not tamatave.Can you help? I have an idea, he is an ambilobe. Thanks for the help.

He appears to be an Ambilobe, not a Tamatave.

He's definitely not a Tamatave, sorry! He's either an Ambilobe or Ambilobe mix.

Did you put a protective coating on the wood to seal it from moisture and to stop vocs from gassing off (like epoxy or polyurethane or something)?

I didn't. I was afraid I would poison the wood with the coating. What do you recommend? Paint it with something?

An oil or water based sparurethane or polyurethane. It does need to completely cure and gas off before putting any chams back in. Do you have any spare cages?
