I just purchased a umbrella plant from home depot. Do I have to clean a dirt off the roots or can I just put proper soil and rocks over the dirt and clean the plant.

What I do is I take the plant out of the pot and wash it top to bottom for a min or two to get most of the soil off and pesticides. Then repot it with clean fertilizer free soil

Lowe's hardware or Home Depot. Tree nursuries are a good option too.

I have an hibiscus plant in my viv bought it from garden centre and repotted it but it's dieing from the heat can you recommend a good plant that will take heat and not die I also had a umbrella plant in too which also die with the heat
