Pothos, hibiscus, ficus. all rinsed off and dirt changed out to organic potting soil before putting it in with your cham. Some people have said said that ficus can cause eye irritation but I've never seen it happen. None of my chams have been into eating the plants. Pothos is one of my faves because it just takes off pretty easily and if you have it towards the top of the cage it kinda droops drown. check the resources button at the top of this page for more info on them.
I would recommend the Dwarf Schefflera over Hibiscus; they are easier and more forgiving. There are many varieties and they are easy to prune and shape to keep in a small cage.
Hibiscus require very high light levels and careful watering; they often defoliate when moved inside. To flower well they need regular feeding with a strong food. They are also somewhat pest-prone compared with Scheffs.
I Really enjoy the pothos plants as they are really easy to care for and grow fast I am havin problems getting my ficus to like being inside the cage it keeps tryin to die off so i have to potate it outside lots.
I like Pothos the best because it is extremely harding and easy to propogate. But I also use fiscus, and I also like sheffs and Hibiscus. Hybiscus are great in that they are quite nutritious (leaves and flowers) but they are fussy plants, needing lots of light, just the right amount of water and so too much trouble for me.
