Plant light vs flood light?

They have special agro light bulbs at home depot but i couldnt find anything about them that was different than a normal light... Anyone know the difference?

Do you mean a plant grow bulb vs something like a halogen for basking? I was wondering the same, they look similar and both give off heat.

Similar amounts of heat* at least from what i've seen.

Well The plant lights are like 3 times the price, but i couldnt find anything special about them.. They seem very similar, other than the price

Plant bulbs will have coatings or phosphors on the bulbs that make the spectrum better for plant growth.
Flood is a term used to describe that the bulb is designed to spread the light, versus focus it inton a narrower beam, as in a spot or basking light.
