Pix update

Last week I posted a thread asking when a male should start to show color. Anyhow thinking that both of our males are female. I got some pix up they are under my album. I am fairly new here and couldn't get my pix up on this post. Sorry! But here's the low down. We have an Ambanja named Krueger who I think for sure is female and a Nosey/Ambilobe named Psycho who I think is male. If someone could take a look under my albums and let me know what you think, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!:)

Seriously?? Wow. I was kinda affraid of that. Krueger we ordered from LLL and Psycho we bought from the Chicago Reptile House. I know with LLL they said they couldn't be 100% sure, but at the other place they said for sure it was a male. Well what cha gonna do right? Thanks a bunch for your help! Now I need to refresh my memory about having females. Back to the books/internet. Thanks again!

The main difference is that you need to have somewhere they can lay when they become gravid. They normally start pacing the cage and stop eating when they are about a day away from laying. If you have any potted plants they may try to dig in there. Oh yea, they can become gravid without even seeing a male, so just keep your eyes open. If you think they are gravid you can feel their stomachs right above their back legs in order to feel jelly bean sized eggs. If you can feel them, then they are about a week away.

Good luck,

Chris
