Im not really into fish but piranhas are one of the few I would like to keep. But sadily because I live in Commiefornia they are illegal to keep

I don't know about this particular species, but most piranha don't generally attack live things. They prefer to chow down on already dead stuff or very, very close to dead stuff.

My older sister had piranhas a while back (20ish years or so). We learned one thing, Piranhas and hamsters don't get along well.

The hamster lived in a cage above the tank, somehow it got loose and fell off the shelf and into the piranha tank.
