Don't know if this will work or not but here goes!
When she goes free ranging, I watch her go round the fence, stare at the ground for a bit, and then rescue her with a branch before she decides to make a leap for it. Her goal is to get to the pepper tree, but it's too far away! I'm so mean, that after letting her do this 4 times or so, I generally put her back in her cage where she sulks.
Why can't she just sit in the shrubs like other people's chams, quietly,and just get some sun?
