What a fantastic and creative solution to housing Meller's.
I really like the way you have set-up your chameleons.
Thanks for sharing

Thanks!

It took a little trail and error, but we're pretty happy with the result.
And it's very selfsufficiant since the mistingsystem is directly hooked up to the faucet in the bathroom (under the sink, so faucet is this operable) and the mist water is collected in gutters that run along the wall and drain out through a hole in the house to our vegetable garden. I.e. all I have to do is feed and clean up droppings and leaves. This is very important for us, since we're leave for work at 6 or 7 and don't get home till 6 usually.

If you have any questions about the design, please ask away. I'm more than happy to provide more information.

Wow that is an amazing set up! The babies are so cute too. Your dutchmans pipe plant looks amazing too! Thanks for sharing!

Any chance you can do a closeup of your automated misting system? Specifically the nozzles and the timer?

I don't like my setup now and want to put in a different system running off the household water but haven't figured out the best way to do this yet... where to put in the reducers, or just run a 1/4" hose all the way.... how to get that into a timer... I hope you get the idea! :)

Amazing :)

Amazing chams and amazing set up! Wow am I IMPRESSED! You've managed to create something really liveable and close to nature for your chams. They are really lucky to live with you. I love the chams sitting on the cricket bin. Beautiful colors. And the baby pictures.....my goodness they are adorable. The only other thing I can add to my gush of admiration is that you should submit some sort of baby picture into the next photo contest :)

I actually don't know yet if I'll have any left to sell. Most of them are already spoken for and I'm keeping a few myself aswell.
If I do have some left I'll put up a post in the for sale section. It won't be before Christmas though. :)

Sure, I'll take some pictures and write something up tonight. :)

Gosh, thanks (where is that blushing smiley... :) )
Melleri seem to be more confident in their interactions with people when they have a more open environment. I think Kristina said something along the lines of: The more natural of a habitat you give them, the less wild they will become.
That's definitely something I've observed with these 4 adults.

Suzanne; the babies are looking good - in their little black/white prisoner outfits! :p It's always good to see something a little different hatch out.

Cheers!

Happy chams! G and C are big helps, aren't they?

I like the painting you've done on the wall, it mimics leaves without being too dark.

So nice to see Dume again!

woww... i am so jealous :p
ummm.. perhaps someone can enlighten me a bit about this melleri....
I thought chameleon known to display cannibalistic behavior.
Is there a possibility for the parents to eat their own babies?

Or, is Melleri recognize its offsprings?
