Pics of Germaine: Going Spotty

Thought I'd post some updated pics of Germaine. Haven't had a good picture of her in a few months. She's around 100g right now, 6 or so inches STV.

This is from when she first started showing some colour.

Not thrilled at the camera, from about 5 minutes ago.

And a pic of her neighbour, Molly, since she's too cute to be ignored.

Germaine looks very nice! Not to mention receptive. Those baby blue spots are her way of advertising her readiness to mate to the males.

Cute rat also. Off topic... but we recently ended up "accidentally" with some pet rats. I brought home some feeders for my snakes, and neither would eat. It was two female rats. Well when the snakes wouldn't eat I got the rats a little home, and one must have been pregnant when I brought her home, cause 2 days later there were 10 adorable little babies. They have just started eating hard food, and are the cutest little things... I am still deciding on which two from the litter I would keep. Mammals are very interesting animals to keep.

Realized she was receptive, she's been trying to get out to find a mate. Problem for her is that he's upstairs in my brother's gecko room and no longer than my thumb. Maybe in another year...

Similar thing happened to me with Molly. She was pregnant when I got her, as a pet mind you. One week later we had 7 pups in the cage. 1 unfortunately died, the other six went to family and friends. It also stunted her growth. She's only about 2/3 the size she should be, but she's the nicest rat I've ever had.
