Pickle's Enclosure: Advice Appreciated :)

Hey guys! I just got my first young Veiled Chameleon the other day on a whim...I adopted him from a pet store because his living conditions were terrible and he looked awful. So I've been trying to rehabilitate him since last Friday night. Thanks to the awesomely awesome people on Cham Forums who have helped and are currently helping me with Pickle :) he's in much better shape now, but we've still got a long road ahead of us.

Anyway's I posted a picture of his enclosure when I first got it on my other thread asking for help with his health conditions. And have since then rearranged and added a few things.

The enclosure measures 16"x16"x30"

Mister/Humidifier - Got this today from Amazon. Had good reviews compared to others and I couldn't really drop that kinda cash on a Mistking. Anyone have any experience with this one? How long should I leave it running for and how many times a day?

Live plants - A few Pothos and a Parlor Palm. Washed them several times over the last 48 hours, replaced soil with organic, and added a layer of river rocks on the top.
**I still have a few plastic/silk plants in which I would like to phase out as I continue to grow/add more live plants.**

My questions are :

1.) Are the branches/vines set up adequately?

2.) Do I need to add/take away more plants?

3.) How's my lighting/lamp set up?

** I'm hoping to switch to Tube lighting in the next week or so**

Any critiques are certainly welcome!

Here's a close up of the mister in Pickle's enclosure. Is it placed correctly or need to be adjusted in anyway?

Also, this is the mister on the highest setting. Too much?

Thanks again for everyone's help!

His plant set up perfect, no removal keep it that way. For his branches I may add a few more especially since he's technically blind right now (poor babe) needs some extra safety. Using safe types of wild collected and sterilized outdoor branches works wonderfully and saves you tons of cash. I prefer oak branches. I wash them well, and then bake them for an hour or two at 200* F in the oven <3

As far as your mister did you mean to link it? No link or picture from what I see.

So with the humidifier you likely won't get him to drink with it much, but it is great for his eye health and skin, and it will keep his hydration levels pretty steady just from him breathing it in. I don't do humidifier treatments more than 30 minutes-1 hour at a time and usually only 2-3 times a day. He will likely still need a shower or two a day, and definitely a misting. But the misting likely won't need to be as long. Just keep an eye on things and adjust as necessary <3 he looks like he is happy for sure.

Yes I notified the humidifier didn't created a ton of water droplets which is what I was kinda hoping for. But maybe I had the wrong impression about what they do?

I've been letting him sit in the sun with me 2x day for 20-30 mins each time. Still giving afternoon & evening baths :)

Will post a picture when I add the branches later today

humidifier are different than misters, but for now especially since this has all kinda popped up and you are relatively hurting for money XD I would rather you be able to pay a vet bill sooner without issue than worry about a mistking right away. In the end look into the climist, it works just as well as the mistking, the only thing that tends to be liked more about the mistking from what I understand is their timer, but you can always buy the mistking timer or buy your own preferred timer. The Climist costs about 10-20 dollars less if I am correct? They are still a hundred + dollars usually but I have had mine for 3+ years and have never regretted it. I went for cheaper misters in the beginning and broke three within a year and spent over what I would spend on a mistking trying to replace them... the mistking/climist is way worth it. A lot of keepers have had their for 10 years or more.

Ah okay good to know. I just went with this one for now because it was Prime Day yesterday and I had enough $ in my Amazon account to pay for this so I just went for it haha.

Hope to get Pickle to the vet that @jannb recommened by the end of this week. Since they're Specialist, their fees were a little too expensive for me at the moment But hopefully he can see a vet sooner rather than later!

Sorry if this is a dumb question but....Do you let the branches fully dry before you put them in the oven? Or can they be a little damp still?

Honestly branches probably don't need cleaned, but to be safe I'd just spray with some vinegar rinse and let sit in sun.
