Phoenix Worms

I'm going to be getting 200 of these in the mail soon. Can I use these to essentially replace crickets? As in, I'll feed crickets occasionally and use these worms as a staple? They seem to be quite healthy, with tons of calcium.

Any downsides?

they are very small

While your baby veiled will love them now I personally feel they are to small to feed to an adult veiled. But they are great for growing chams and chams with mbd becasue of their high calcium content

Mulberry is 5 months old. Are they okay to use as a staple for a bit? I'm getting so sick of dealing with crickets, although i do plan on still feeding him a couple a day....feeding 10+ a day is getting to be a huge hassle for a variety of reasons.

Everything I have seen about the nutritional content would make me think I could use them as a staple, as long as he is digesting them properly. Am i correct about this though?

I think they could be a good staple

But it is always good to throw in some variety so your veiled does not go on a hunger strike. Also dont use as much calcium when you dust just lightly coat the worms so your came does not get too much calcium but still dust everyday.

My veiled is 4 months old, and eating about 15 large Phoenix worms dusted with superpig, and a small amount of D3 calcium per day. I supplement this with about 4 or 5 dubia roaches every other day. He is already in far better health than when I got him 6 weeks ago.

That is too much D3 in you chams diet. D3 should onlu be given 2-3 times a month. The recommended supplement schedule is:
Phosphorus free plain calcium every feeding
D3 2x a month
multivitamin 2x a month
alternating the d3 and multi every week.
OR Repashy calcium plus everyday; nothing else

For Veileds and panthers

In regards to the phoenix worms... Imo it is best to offer the most variety you can possibly do, no one feeder makes up more than 40% of my chams diet(@ the most). I regularly have AT LEAST 4 different feeders in my house at all times

How many worms a day should I feed him? They are "medium" size, although i havent seen them in person yet (waiting on the package).

The D3 I give him is included in the Zoo Med calcium mix, and I may have been interpretted wrong. I give it to him every other day in an extremely small amount. I do this as often as I do because I find that it helps the superpig stick better to whatever feeders I'm using.
