Phoenix Worm Opinions?

I was thinking about using these as the staple diet for my 3 month panther when i get him, as they seem very cost effective and very appropriately sized for a juvenile panther. I am also considering setting up my own culture bin. Varied with other insects of course. I was just wondering what your opinions on them were. They seem to very nutritious. Do your chams like them?

My Jackson's absolutely loves them! He gobbles them up whenever he sees them. I got them for my geckos and then tried them for my Cham and he won't stop eating them!!

I've used them extensively for leopard geckos, but can't chime in on their palatability for chameleons until I have one of my own.

If you do culture them, I'm almost positive the chameleons would LOVE the adults.

I actually have a cup that I fill when I go to work, it's actually the cup they came in with a mesh bottom, so water doesn't drown them, and they are in a Tupperware container. Then when I'm home I put them on leaves one at a time and let him hunt them down

Soldier Fly Maggots / Pheonix Worms can be offered somewhat regularily, 20% of the chameleons diet (perhaps somewhat more, depending on the other feeder prey choices). Make sure you gutload well. They have a tough skin so pierce with a pin if your cham doesnt chew really well. More appropriate for Smaller chameleons as larger chams may not notice them due to small size.
