Petco with no veiled chameleons

There is a Petco near me that never has veiled chameleons. I don't frequent it often, but when I do go there, they normally have panthers (always female) and today a male Jackson's. I find it super interesting because all the other corporate stores I go into only have veiled chameleons, but this one never does. No one else I know cares or understands why I find this weird, so I thought I'd share it with you all.

Depends on their supplier and what their live specialist is comfortable caring for. Sometimes certain reptiles are so popular when we get the order lists it's not even an option. Sometimes too they breed them so quick they re sickly so certain stores boycott certain animals.

That makes a lot of sense. I appreciate hearing that some stores boycott poor breeding. Thank you for sharing the inside information as it's always nice to hear positive things that we normally don't get to hear.

There are seven Petcos within 15 miles of my home. This is the only store I have ever seen carry anything other than veiled chameleons, so I that is why I find it so interesting.

Anytime! There is a lot of bad stuff that goes on at pet stores. Honestly I m really lucky I'm at a good store that, most of the time ,puts the animals first! If they don't I end up buying them or finding people too haha ?
