Buy bulk crickets online or start a roach colony. If you get a roach colony going, you always have food. Make sure to try and use at least 4-5 different feeders for variety though. Superworms are fairly easy to breed too.

LLL is great but you dont get pictures of the parents, so the colors can be a toss up.

I'd suggest seeing if there's someone from the board who breeds chameleons in your area and befriending that person. Let them know that you are interested in a "pet" quality chameleon...one that hatched with a broken tail or, in the case of Jacksons, one that broke a horn early....one that is undersized or has less desirable coloration. You might be able to get a captive bred animal for a considerable discount.
