Pests

Does anyone have a pest problem near their chameleon enclosure (screen cage)? If so how do you manage to keep them away or get rid of them?

I've never had roaches in my house, but you could buy roach traps and set them out as long as you don't have children or other animals like a dog that might eat them. Spraying is not an option in my opinion if the chameleons are in the room. Another thought, is catch them and feed them! lol, but that is not going to get rid of the problem as you know they breed and multiply.

Is the problem still there, If yes then you should carefully check from where the roaches are coming from. Close those areas properly, maybe this can give some relief.

Agree with above, bait traps and sealing entry points is your best bet. Do not spray pesticides, do not feed them to your Cham.

Is this a localized problem? If so you need to figure out how to make the area less appealing to the roaches. They can only be there for a few reasons they are there... heat, water, or food.

Unfortunately the roaches took over and have started their own nation in the house. We were unable to make contact with the OP due to the infestation...

Oh, no, Nevermind, this thread is 4 years old... no worries... :wideyed:
