Pent up agression?

My Diego is a male veiled about a year and a some change old. He's a big boy and has had his on and offs with eating but I think we've found a good pattern that works for him. He has always been aggressive and hates being touched or handled, never got on with hand feeding either but we got to the point where he is cool when I open his enclosure to feed him or clean. He doesn't puff or hiss or put on a show like he use to. Recently he has started hissing and lunging on occasion and even just when I walk by. He's eating fine and nothing has changed but I've noticed his "nethers" look rather engorged. Today I saw a milky liquid dripping from his you know what's(we can all guess what that is) My thought is he has some pent up agression ATM and it'll pass. I think he's too old to get him a lady at this point, that'd probably just cause more stress. Thoughts? Agree? disagree?
