just thought this was cute- but after weeks of hatching moths- I am so sick of them :p - they are hatching and laying eggs faster than I can catch them at "it" and laying eggs on the cocoons, and each other

my question is , some of the eggs are staying yellow - not turning gray - are those eggs any good ?

thanks :)

That picture is cute! Yeah, yellow eggs are not fertile. I think I remember talking to a silkworm breeder who said that some of the yellow eggs might hatch, but I can't remember if that is only for a certain strain or not. I know there are some strains of moths that have female and male eggs as different colors (yellow/grey) isn't that neat?

Man this is sort of off topic but anyway I just caught a cricket chowing down on a waxworm moth cocoon. It took me a while to get them at that stage.. just be warned I guess its better to take some dirt out and let them do there thing rather then leave them in there with the free-ranging crickets
