Pedro's Poop

So i looked threw the forums and I didn't find any thing.
Im planning on gettin a fecal done soon.
But in the mean time pedro's poop has a jelly like coating around it.
What could that be from?
I just noticed it now.

Increased mucous in the GI tract usually results from an irritant including an offset of normal bacterial flora, virus, allergy, parasites, etc. A fecal is definitely a good thing to do to rule out parasites. But whatever it is, the lining of the GI tract is irritated, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to feed easily digestible and soft foods along with a reptile probiotic such as Nutribac.

Ah I see!
I'll make sure to do that.
It might be the meal worms he's been eating.
Maybe the chitin could be irritating the lining?

Somewhat recently Larry had a poo that had a slimy brown coating over it and it sounds kind of similar to what you mentioned. I'm not sure what caused it but it got better over night. I agree it is a good idea to have a fecal done, it could clear up in a day or two as well.

It's hard to say what could be causing it, I would definitely increase his fluid intake as well. I would just do like horns and silks for a bit, along with probiotics and a fecal. Hope it clears up soon :)

When I first received my chameleon he had this same issue. It was a result of a parasite.
