Pearl is digging

unfortunetly she saw me a few times today, but i have her cage covered up now and have been trying to stay away from it except when spraying it, she has a ton of cover around her laying bin so i hope she lays

the waiting begins in the sense that i must wait for her to make a nice recovery to breed her.

perhaps I could have bred her right before she turned gravid with the infertile clutch, but i was under the impression that she was too young and did not really see it coming. you experience and you learn.

i have two more now who are receptive just on the verge of the same thing i think so i think this experience may have payed off sooner than I think, I guess the wait then will be to see if those eggs ever hatch down the line, to know if i bred them soon enough but i imagine the female wouldn't be receptive if it were not.

tommorow may certainly be a breeding day.

which brings me to my next question, how fertile are male panthers, can they breed with two different mates in one day?

Kenny,
I have been keeping up with this tread, but had not repiled to it.
Most of the other members gave you some great advice.
Congrats on the successful laying!:)
21 is a nice sized clutch for a young female.
Would you happen to have a weights on them?

Best of luck with the copulations tomorrow.
I'd let your male "get it" a couple times with one female each day.
Females will remain receptive longer when it's their first time.
If you have the patients, then you give each female two days worth of breeding.
That should ensure fertile eggs.

Justin

i bred them today, unfortunetly i don't think they finished because i had to seperate them after 30 minutes because she looked dead, mouth open eyes closed, so i seperated them and she looks fine so i'm going to re evaluate things come later today and maybe just give her a break, i'd rather wait a few months than stress her out, i do have four girls so having more options is always a plus
