Has anyone else noticed that a lot of parsons are coming in?

It started a few weeks ago, and more and more people are getting them in. Anyone know a reason why?

Some authorities are throwing CITES permits in the air...

LOL :d it really made me laugh! :)

Just imagine: an officer takes a lots of permissions, throws them in to the air... papers are landing on the...

table: Furcifer
chair:Calumma
carpet: Trioceros
floor: others :D LOL

Some random guy PM'd me and told me there is a man who is producing CB in the UK and is getting better at it.

It would be nice to see some CB babies here in the U.S. Hopefully before 2020.

Always those CB ones from guys who don't show pics of hatching eggs or something similar... boring. We have a saying here in Germany, "paper is patient"... That's all. A guy who has papers for an adult pair buys at the black market a douzen or so of juveniles, then went to his authority and tell them he has breed them. Some authorities want prooves for it, some not. It's not so difficult at all to produce "CB" parsoniis ;)

Well said. It is unfortunate, but I believe that all Parson babies coming in are black market. The proof is the fact that there are never pictures of neonates hatching for ANY of these babies coming in...

There are breeders here, I know some, but the only of them who tried to export real CB ones failed on your strict authorities. The other ones arent really interested in exporting animals, they are happy if they find good keepers here . People in other countries don't have those problems. Everyone who knows the business can see from which source especially one of the guys at kingsnake offers his animals...

There have been many recent pictures of Parsons eggs hatching out the main part that comes to doubt is weather they are Captive Bred or Captive Hatched. Then if they can be documented and prove that the lineages were imported before the 1995 ban (then they can be imported to the USA). Here is a site with some Parsons hatching out. There are others.

They show a newly recognized phase the Red Eye Parsons that I guarantee you was not available before the 1995 ban.

I wont have a problem when those juveniles were taken as a start of keeping and breeding parsoniis again in higher numbers in the US but as far as I see it, those juveniles are just and only shipped for commercial reasons...

Maybe their prices will come down (fingers crossed).
I personally hope the prices don't change, it's the one thing keeping them out of the hands of those who don't care if they loose a few hundred bucks so long as they can say they've kept one...

Why you ask??? Because they are going for 2,000 on Kingsnake.

If anybody here wants a Parsons I can get you one for way less than that out of this group. Why you ask?

Because they are here... Its not always about $$$; I am not ready for a Parson and I would rather see them go to one of you peeps here where you can talk to people like Chuck and Steve about the care on them. Shoot me a PM. Only shoot me a PM if you are serous please.
