Parental care

I have seen several photos of baby chameleons hitching a ride on the back or holding on to the casque of an adult (both male and female).
Are there any chams that exhibit parental care or are these photos 'set up'?

They are set ups...and the adults need to be watched so they don't eat the babies. The chameleons lay/bury the eggs or drop the babies and walk away.

That's what I thought, but these pictures I've seen are in books on chameleon care and breeding.
I don't really understand why they would put pictures like that in a book that's meant to be factual and helpful to beginners.
They kind of just discredit themselves as authors imho....

I think they do it to show a size comparison. That is just a guess, otherwise there is no reason I can think of. Just showing off.
