parasites in panther cham's feces

I bought a cute baby CB panther a couple months ago. Now, for the first time when I cleaned out his cage I noticed tiny white threads wiggling around in fresh feces.

What are these things? How did he get them? What do I need to do to get rid of them and make sure he doesn't get them again? Could he have gotten them from crickets? (That's the only thing I can think of.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

From my experience, those would be pin worms. Get him (and a fecal sample) to your vet ASAP and they can determine the kind of parasite/worm it is and determine the best meds to get rid of it. A CB cham can get pin worms from a number of sources. I had a breeder one time (a few years ago) that got bit by a mosquito while ouside and got infected with a parasite that travels through the blood stream that lookes like what you are describing. But it can come from a number of places, so you need to get to the vet to determine what it is and figure out the right course of action. And REALLY disinfect the cage, too.
