Paranoid? Or reason for concern?

Ok...so I just got my Panther today, had him since this morning. He's eaten plenty and had lots to drink. All of a sudden he's holding his mouth open. Mostly while he's basking it seems. He's not making any kind of noise or anything...just sitting there with his mouth open. He has once or twice almost like rocked back and forth a little bit with his mouth open. Is this a reason to be concerned? I'm super paranoid as this is my first one and I want to make sure he he's really well taken care of! I have his dripper going, the mistaking is doing 4 times a day. Basking temperature is around 84 degrees.

He's eaten a lot, had a big day, is in a strange place, and doesn't really know you. You probably look somewhat omnipresent to him. Maybe he's just upset a bit.

Rocking back and forth while gaping is usually a defensive posture. Probably mad at the gawker watching her (looks like a female from the photo).

Haha...honestly I thought of this....i'm just a little paranoid I guess. He's even doing this while i'm on the other side of the room, so I thought it was weird. This pictures is not so good...and he does look kind of pinkish/female. Here's a better one.

Usually when they are basking they open their mouth to cool their insides. My veiled did this at first too.

Gravid females will gape and rock at males or even their caretakers pretty frequently. Males not so frequently. Couldn't locate the second picture.
