Daily would be wise, to keep bacteria in check, especially if they are wet. They are cheap and easy to change.

Daily to every other day I change mine. I also steam clean the bottom of the cage after changing them

I would say from daily to every other day. You could just leave the bottom bare and wipe it off with bath tissue (toilet paper) and flush it down the toilet. Then wipe it with something like virosan or whatnot. Could conserve the paper towels for something else.

Regardless on what you put down you are going to have to change it everyday or every other day due to poop and bacteria!

What's the difference? Your still going to have to clean it. I wouldn't just incase the cham wanted a taste of it.

Is there a reason you want to put something there? You really could leave it bare and just wipe the poop, dead leaves and feeders away as you see them.

Thats easy... When it gets dirty.

Make sure you chameleon doesn't eat the paper towel. I'd change it daily.

I clean it about once a week. I of course pick up any feces and spot clean the area but that's all I do really. The paper towels dry out quickly, i've not had any problems this way.

i screened the bottom, whatever doesnt make it thru the screen i pick up "spot clean", and clean the screen once a week, the bottom whenever i want or have time "wet vac"... works out to doing almost nothing and almost no paper towel waste cept on cleaning the screen. sorry for the terrible pics but its all florecent lighting in here...
