panther not eating

I have had him for nearly 3 months but this last week he has gone off his food.he is now 6-7months old.
he is still very active comes out as soon as doors are opened, seems aleart and healthy.
he is in an exoterra at the moment large. Basking spot of 30-32c , live plants mist 3 times a day, 10%uv bulb new I dust all his food, I have a super fogger on low to maintain humidity at 50%

I offer roaches, locust, meal worms, morio worms, wax worms.

in the last week he has eaten 1 morio 3 meal worms and 1 wax worm nothing in th last 2 days., he would easily eat 3-4locust and same meal worms in a sitting.

Try and cut back on the worms, not healthy if you're offering everyday, try silk worms or horn worms. Its possible he's addicted to the meal and wax worms and refusing his staple food.

If you can get him into a screen cage, my experience the exoterra aren't very big even if he's in the largest one they do. Is he gaping at all, glass can over heat and become to hot. Also he doesn't need a fogger.

You can fill out the attached form if you want but I wouldn't worry too much. Chameleons can go fairly long without food, water is a different story. If he doesn't want to eat for a few days then that is all up to him and he should eat again when he is hungry. Just keep offering him different feeders and he should be fine.

I highly recommend Silkworms as with my chameleons no matter what they will eat them. Even my females who might go off food for a good week prior to laying will still eat one silkworm the day before they lay.

OK great thanks just ordered some silkworms. Does it matter how many they eat or should they be used as a treat.

Well for a 3 month old you don't want jumbo, a 3 month old should handle medium ones fine and can fed as a staple but try and still offer variety though such as crickets, locusts, calciworms, roaches.

No he is 6-7months I have had him 3 months. Thanks for your help I'll try the silkworms I ordered small.

Positive he is a he?

Are you 100% sure that it is a male? Around seven months is when female panthers can be gravid. I know mine did and completely lost her appetite. Just a thought.

would just like to say thankyou. the silkworms turned up today and he loves them scoffed 4 straight away.
i am just waiting on his new retibreeze which should be here today i bought the 60x60x120cm one hope that is ok.
