Panther Female - Mouth

Hey all,

My female Nosy Be Panther has been holding her mouth open quite frequently lately. Has anyone ever experienced this?

I've heard some times they have there mouth open because it might b to hot???

When Chameleons overheat, they will open their mouths to thermoregulate.

What is your current basking temp?

How old is she? Do you have a place in her cage for her to dig to lay eggs if she needs to? What are the temperatures the cage?

She's 5 months old. She's not gravid and hasn't been with a male, nor is she in view of a male. Cage temperatures are as follows:

Basking - 90 F
UVB - 74 F
Her Body Temp is generally 80-83 F during mid day
Cage Bottom - 70 F

The male has the exact same set-up, yet he's never doing this. She looks very healthy and is very active with a strong appitite.
