Panther Damaged Feet.

I recently acquired a panther for free. He is roughly 2 years old. When he was given to me, he had some damaged feet that seemed to be healed over. But today I noticed an open sore on one of his feet right by the claw. Was wondering if there is anything I can put on it to aid in healing. Polysporin perhaps? Should I be worried? Should I also stop handling until he has healed?
Thanks in advance.

Here is some of his feet, well tried. For some reason he hates my red phone. Ha!

I will try and get some better pics later but these are the ones I have.
Please help.

Yes you can put polysporin or Neosporin on it. Is it just on the top of the foot? It should heal over as he will not irritate it like if it was on the bottom of the foot. They heal very slowly though, so don't expect overnight results. Your pics are not the clearest, but from what I can see it doesn't look that bad.

Awesome, thanks. I will start putting that on ASAP. Thanks again. I Really do appreciate it.
Quick question. Does neosporin or Polysporin work better?

I'd Just make sure you use the kind that doesn't have the numbing ingredient as I can't see that to be a good thing he may get a numb limb

Polysporin is supposedly a bit more compatible with herp skin than Neosporin. Don't use the type with pain reliever.

Do you rest your lights right on the screen? It could be from basking right below the light and burning his feet on the screen.

Ok. I wont use the pain relieving kind. But why can't you use that, I am just wondering.
Also like I said he was given to me with injured feet. I have it so the basking light is not on the screen.

If the foot is swollen its important that you get it treated by a vet because it's likely infected. If it's infected and you don't it can go systemic. The chameleon will need antibiotics if it's infected.
