Panther chameleon sticky out tongue question.

Does anyone have a chameleon that just sit sometimes with there tongue hanging out a bit. I find mine upon occasion just chilling on the mister hose with its tongue slightly hanging out.

He always retracts it if I’m near or if I’m looking at him. He’s offered water from the misters as well as a dropped every day.

Tried getting a photo but he’s to quick also that area he’s hanging out in is typically 85 degrees. With cool areas in the 70’s. He’s moving to a 36”x 18” x 36” Exo Terra this week/weekend.
