Panther Chameleon has sperm build up?

My panther chameleon is about 6 mos old, and until recently has been very healthy. A few weeks back he started to get kind of weak, his grip is not as strong, and over all he just seems listless. Soon after the weakness started to appear, he started to drop what my vet did I.D. as a sperm plug. His appetite is no where near as ferocious as it used to be, and his belly is swollen, and I am afraid he may have a sperm plug build up? Has this happened to anybody else before with any of their chameleons? I am desperately looking for advice. I have soaked him to try to help him pass it all, but nothing seems to be helping. I have read somewhere that if I provide him with a mate, the problem should resolve itself. But I am worried about stressing my already upset boy, any ideas??
Thanks!

If it's impacted sperm plugs a qualified chameleon vet will be able to pull them out. It sounds like he needs a vet visit and that it's way more than sperm plugs.

yes he is able to poop, although it is a very small amount. he is really fat, but only eats like one hornworm or superworm like every 3 days.

I don't know if that would cause his stomach to swell. I would think if there was a sperm build up it would effect the vent area. I am just guessing though. JannB had a problem with one of hers. I don't know if her chams stomach was swollen. Jann?
