I have got a 7 month old Ambilobe panther Chameleon, female, and she has got a weird lump come up on her chin, I was worried it could be something serious. Here is a picture.

the black marks around her face, knees and elbows are different and i have been informed they are bruises or could be stains from the back of her tank background as she gets behind it sometimes when im not looking

i dont see the lump on the chin. could you circle the lump?

the black dots, i dont see those as being bruises. how long have these been present?

do you have a red light on her?

the red circle is the new mark the green circles are bruises from a fall

there is no red light this is her colour and the bruising marks have been present for around 2 weeks

when was her last shed? did she have these before the shed and did they lighten at all after the shed?

i honestly think she will be ok. id keep an eye on it and make sure it does not get larger. im going to suspect it will recover on its own.

looking at other posts it might be a bite from a locust but im not sure, she has not shed since we have had her but she was sheding the day before we picked her up about a 1.5 months ago

Every cricket bite that i have seen personally is actually open like a sore. It could be possible that the locust didnt pierce through the skin and basically pinched causing a bruise. I dont think this is the case but anything is possible.
